What kind of Horsepower ratings are available? |
Answer:
Chassis are available with as little as 330 hp / 1000
torque up to 600 hp / 2050torque. |
Question:
Will I have to learn how to shift a manual transmission? |
Answer:
Most all of our conversions are now built on full automatic
or ultra shift transmissions which do not require shifting. |
Question:
What kind of fuel mileage can I expect? |
Answer:
Approximately 8 - 10 mpg. |
Question:
How different is it driving a diesel puller versus a
diesel pusher? |
Answer:
They are very similar, there is a slight increase in
engine noise, but much more stability in cross winds
and when trucks pass. Turning radius will depend on
wheelbase. |
Question: What
is the lead-time to build a coach?

Answer:
The average build will require 4 to 5 months. |
Question: What
are the interior and exterior heights?
|
Answer:
Interior will have a standard 7' height with a option
to go to 7' 9". Standard exterior height is 12'
8" at the top of the AC unit. |
Question:
How long or short can you build a unit? |
Answer:
We like to stay under 45' bumper to bumper. The smallest
Motorhome box we have built is 17'. We also build 10'
Toterhomes. |
Question: What chassis
can we build on?

Answer:
We can build on almost any truck chassis. The main consideration
is the axle ratings. We need a minimum of 14,000 lb
front and 19,000 lb rear. Layout may require as high
as 16,000 up front and a tandem axle setup in the rear. |
Question:
How many will a conversion sleep? |
Answer:
This all depends on the type & layout of the conversion.
The minimum is generally 4, and average is 6. |
Question:
What size and kind of generator do you use? |
Answer:
The standard generator is a 8,000 kW diesel Onan. We
can go up to 20,000 KW. |
Question:
How do you compare in price to a diesel pusher? |
Answer:
Pricing for pushers is always changing. Our Motorhomes
start around $185,000 and can go up to $295,000. Toterhomes
start at $165,000 up to $200,000, and Garage units start
at $160,000 and go to $290,000. |
Question:
What is the fresh water and holding tank capacities
in a Motorhome? |
Answer:
100 gallons of fresh water is standard, 200 gallons
is the maximum inside the coach with and additional
100 gallons outside on some models. 72 gallons each
for black and grey tanks are standard with additional
capacity available on some units. |

Is Financing available and do you take trades? |
Answer:
Show Hauler does not sell direct, but our dealers offer
financing as well as take trades. |
Question:
What are the color options? |
Answer:
The sky is the limit. You can apply graphics to our
standard white exterior color which average $3,995 for
a simple design to $5,495 for a little more intricate.
Full body paint can start at $15,000 up to $28,000 depending
on your preference. |
Question: How
many floor plans do you offer?

Answer:
We offer hundreds of different layouts. Your conversion
is custom built to your preferences. We start with a
basic layout and let you decide the rest. There are
some limitations do to R.V.I.A. regulations as well
as structural requirements.

Do you need to stop at weight stations? |
Answer:
Only if you have commercial tags on your conversion. |
Question: What kind of license
is needed to drive a truck conversion?

Answer:
As long as you are not driving for commercial purposes,
all that is needed is a regular drivers license that
your state would require for a similarly size motorhome.
It is best to check with your states BMV for exact requirements. |
